everyone who are you look great oh thank you so much as I love your Outlast oh I can't wait to see what everyone is married and even my stuff this is Grace Friday I can feel welcome to bye snore this is Gardner this is Williamson alright Bulldogs one role we have here at our school is to be responsible being responsible helps make our school a great place where everyone can learn when were responsible we can be trusted to do the right thing we help others we clean up our this is we admit when we make mistakes or do the wrong thing we focus on our schoolwork and we turning our assignments this week think about how you can be responsible and do the right thing in class at home and in your community thanks Miss Williamson those are not easy things to do however I believe in Church Hill Bulldogs I know that they all can do these things and I'm super excited to share what's next mrs. Williamson we talked about students sharing their ideas and their thoughts about being accountable and turning in there missing assignments or getting the work completed and I'm really really excited for us to share the results and for you students to hear what advice you had for each other so let's get started okay so we had 117 responses out of those 117 there were 18 3rd graders there was 43 4th graders and there were 53 5th graders that responded to this yeah thank you to all the teachers and students who participated so the first question was how are you doing with work completion we have 54 students that says I'm doing really well with turning a my Simon we have $0.59 that say I'm doing okay but I could do better with turning in my assignment and we have four students that said I'm really struggling with work completion on this next one Dunes talked about what are some of the challenges that they were facing when they were completing their work so take a look at this list and think are any of these challenges that I face is it managing the technology not having enough time or maybe there are just some things that are a little tough that are a little bit difficult that you struggle with sometimes you don't understand or you don't feel comfortable asking questions in front of the entire class remote learning is hard and we are so proud of you for sticking with that and finding ways to work through it so keep up the good work Bulldogs mrs. Gardiner you want to share these challenges yes there's some completing your work some other things may be some distractions not sure what you know I'm turning in some of our assignments you struggle with completing it may be on maybe understanding the directions or maybe you feel that you just need to be longer online just to get some extra help all right here with some advice that was very helpful that you all gave to each other people said things like don't give up that you need to still try your best there was some other great advice it says maybe listening to music something that, do that helps you focus while you're working is something that'll keep you going maybe asking your teacher for extra help when you don't understand and being brave and asking for additional time if you don't understand maybe you could time your and take a break due to assignment take a quick break then do two more assignments give yourself room to relax in between the times that you're working very hard or maybe you make a list of your assignments and check them off as you go that is some good advice we have some why students here at Churchill I agree those are good things even I take some of those suggestions for myself advice your friend who is doing well and see if he or she can help you maybe ask your teacher on what ways that would be helpful to catch you up on things that you're missing or maybe do something that calms you before you start assignment so you're not feeling anxious before you get started maybe watching a movie before you get started on your assignment I'm doing a little yoga maybe taking a quick 30 seconds to just do some deep breathing mindfulness any one of those activity will help calm you and not help you to feel stress before you start chat taking on those assignments all right goal setting is so important and I know many of you were setting goals and had it in which is great because report card time is right around the corner and I I want everyone to feel successful when those report cards come out to complete our assignments on time we want to ask for help when we don't Christian going to practice our math facts maybe our goal is to take our time and not turning in things late and to make sure that what I turn in is correct and that it's yeah that it's on time so these are great goals think about your goal and what you said is your goal and how you're going to accomplish it today and going into next week so this is more goals for completing okay it's about turning in assignments getting caught up if he's got some missing assignments there still time talk to your teacher ask for help they can help you get those assignments in working on you grades maybe you're working towards something you know what a certain letter grade you still have time for that spending less time playing video games and spending more time on our assignments in a one of the things that we do you know get an assignment done and then you can have time for the video games and playing whatever is the the rule in your household so those are just some of those things that you know and completing those those goals in completing your work sounds like a great plan everyone all right don't forget there's this wonderful opportunity to submit to the reflections of this is to our PTA art share personal reflection this year's theme is I matter because and the deadline is November 30th there's more information being sent home today to families about how to submit I hope to seal a Churchill students showing off their Arts through this contest I matter because is the theme so I know you guys will come up with some really great things since you have a boyfriend celebrating birthdays happy birthday alright enjoy your day we hope it's a special one we're so happy since you have a water park you have to come up on my page on Tuesday November 3rd iwobi next week Friday College day I can't wait I already have them picked out me to 2 all right here is the quote of the week from our school Playbook real number 5r the fundamentals so that you can always be in a position to dribble pass or shoot when the ball is in your hands be a triple threat here's what Jackie Joyner-Kersee the three-time Olympic gold medalist track and field and voted Grace greatest female athlete of the 20th century by Sports Illustrated this is what she said she said the glory of the sport comes from dedication from determination and From Desire achieving success in person glory in athletics or school has less to do with wins and losses than it does with learning how to prepare yourself but at the end of the day weather on the track or in the office or even in school you know that there is nothing more you could done to reach your ultimate goal I LoveIt my coach always used to say leave it out on the court right so Bulldogs let's leave it out on the court and make this a terrific Friday all right here we go don't forget will dogs be safe beerus pop
