Welcome to Mrs. O’Connell’s 3rd grade!
I am so excited about all the learning and exploring that is going to occur this year! I wanted to take this opportunity to introduce myself and tell you a few fun facts!
My name is Liz O’Connell and this is my 20th year teaching. I received my bachelor’s degree from Easter Illinois University in Recreation Administration. I then went back for my masters degree and received a Masters of Arts in Teaching form the University of Portland. I have 2 children, a sophomore and an eighth grader. Mike, my husband, Emma, Patrick and I live in Tinley Park. I also have 2 dogs named Rosie and Clover. I love outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and going to our cabin in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. I also love gummy bears! Yum! I grew up in Flossmoor and I am graduate of Homewood Flossmoor High School. I love working in the Homewood Community and I will work hard to meet the needs and learning styles of all the students in my class. I know we will have a cooperative relationship so that we can work together so that your child has a successful 3rd grade year!
