good morning Bulldogs I still see many of you logging in this morning it is red pink and white day and the day is going to be filled with love we have just a couple more minutes and we will begin our Churchill Playbook announcements so I got to bust out in song did everything for me not to do it morning everyone the fall than just the game start my Friday I really nicely good morning Bulldog happy Friday it's so great to see all of you alright Bulldogs it's time for The Churchill Playbook announced it is Friday February 12th 2021 your announcements are brought to you by mrs. schnoor this is Gardner and mrs. Williamson alright you lovebirds here we go this week identifying feeling we're all learning to identify our own and other feelings we can focus on tension on someone's face or body and on the situation for clues about how a person is feeling sometimes people's voices and the words they say also gives us clues about how the person is feeling if someone is yelling it might be that this person is angry if a person is using a very quiet boys it might mean that this person is scared or worried starting today and all next week listen to people's voices for Clues to figure out how they might be feeling it's Black History Month someone you should know each week during the month of February we will highlight an individual that has made a significant contribution to history this week we're excited to have our very own Churchill students presenting our someone you should know thank you to those students and thank you mrs. Williamson for putting together hi I'm Mark Mitchell Indian actor and today we're going to tell you about someone you should know was born in October to October 20th 1964 how old is Kamala where is contributor history how she was born in Oakland California tomorrow is the 49th Vice President of the United States she has a first one African American to hold the post she had previously served in the US Senate and as Attorney General of California after sitting for a lot of cosines and economics at Howard University Paula earned a law degree from Hastings College 2010 she was elected as attorney general general of California winning by America less than 1% fast becoming a female and the first African-American to hold the post and 2012 are still delivered a memorable address at the Democratic National Convention raising her National profile when she took office January 2027 Harris became the first indian-american in the Senate and just the second black woman and I'll gets prison and fighting shows Harris as chica was the first black woman to appear on a major party's National Ticket thanks for listening hot amazing job thank you that was incredible thank you very much our new schedule starts on February 25th we're going to continue to provide reminders to use students as well as our staff and family so that we're all prepared for our transition on February 25th and 26 we will start I'm having some in-person students will have our third graders new 4th and 5th graders on site starting on those two days on March 1st all of our in-person students will be on site with us and just a quick overview students I know that some of your teachers have already started talking with you about this change if you're an in-person student you're going to be with your homework be there in the morning if you're a fully remote student you're going to be with your homeroom teacher in the afternoon there will be a letter going home to your families early next week letting you know what you have been assigned whether you're in person a.m. fully remote p.m. it's going to be really important that you check in with your team's pages to complete your science and social studies specials in PE assignments and there will also be a helpline more details to come you ever need help there's going to be someone there to help you and also just so you know we were able to keep all of our teachers and classmates together so you'll be able to have the same classmates and the same teacher that's alright here's some more news for you so important dates coming up next week so this Monday February 15th will be celebrating President's Day so we don't have any school I'm February 17th and 18th we will be doing STAAR testing on March 5th it's the end of the trimester 2 in March 5th is a remote learning day for all students and it's also a early release dismissal day happy birthday Minnie happy birthday to all our friends there's more common Joshua Landon and Adrian happy birthday Miss Bruce happy birthday Miss Harris and happy birthday Miss Ride happy birthday happy birthday we're so glad you get to celebrate with yeah we help with this special day Merle bulldog blue bulldog day go inside a break out that school spirit and your blue bulldog gear we are excited for next Friday alright the quote of the week rule number 14 never let anyone lower your goals others expectations of who you are determined by their limitations of Life the sky is your limit also always sorry shoot for the Sun and you will shine here's a quote by Moses Malone he's a three-time NBA MVP and no okay and it Be A Champion with a Philadelphia Sixers it says I'll always be number one to myself all right love it dream big Bulldogs believe in yourself don't forget always remember Beast days be responsible and be respectful Bible dogs have a great weekend galentine's day stay warm stay safe
