Welcome to 5th Grade!

My name is Emma Dolan and I am a 5th grade teacher at Churchill. This is my second year at Churchill and I am so excited to be teaching in Homewood. 

 

I grew up in Mokena, IL, but spent a lot of time in Homewood hanging with my family! I went to the University of Missouri where I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education. After college I moved to Independence, Missouri which is right outside of Kansas City. I lived and taught there for three years. I taught fourth grade and loved it! I moved back to Illinois recently to be closer to my family! 

 

I love to read and cannot wait to share that passion with your children! Some other things I love to do is being artsy, especially painting. I grew up playing soccer and love to watch sports! I am a fan of almost all Chicago teams, (Go Bears, Blackhawks, and Bulls!) but I am a St. Louis Cardinal's fan! I also love spending time with all of my pets. I have a cat named Heath and my family has a new puppy and two more cats! 

 

I can't wait to teach your student this year! I am so excited to be teaching 5th grade. We are going to learn a lot and have so much fun doing it :)
