Welcome!
I am so glad you're here! A little bit about me...
My name is Dana Musharbash. I was born and raised in New York, and have now spent about half of my life in Illinois in a neighboring town. I absolutely love Homewood and am grateful to be embraced by such a beautiful community of students, parents, and colleagues! The 2024-2025 school year will be by fourth year at Churchill, and sixth year of teaching overall.
I graduated from Purdue University with a dual degree in Elementary Education and Special Education, and am currently working towards a Master's degree from Concordia University. I have experience teaching both special education and general education over the years, and I am very excited to start a new journey in a mix of the two in co-taught! Ms. Babinec and I are teaching together as a team in room 33. Your child will have not one, but two fourth grade teachers to spend each and every day with here at Churchill... how lucky are they?! :)
My goal in our classroom is for everyone to feel comfortable, be heard, and be successful. I love building relationships with all my students and creating a sense of family within our classroom. I can't wait to meet all of my new fourth grade rockstars!
Please don't hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns. We are a team! You can call the school phone, send a ClassDojo message, or email me or Ms. Babinec directly--
Let's have a great year together ❤
Always,
Miss Musharbash
