Mr. Lewis - 5th Grade

 

 

This is not only my first year at Churchill but also my first year teaching! I finished my bachelors in Elementary Education at Olivet Nazarene University earlier this year. I am originally from southern Indiana. Working with children and families has been my greatest passion for five years now. I've had the privilege of pursuing that passion through some incredible experiences the past few years, and now I am so excited to continue this work in teaching fifth grade at Churchill!

 

Some fun facts about me: The other half of my life right now is coaching gymnastics at Golden's Gym in Kankakee! Other things I love include martial arts (kickboxing), ping pong, breakfast food, running, hiking, music, and spending time with my friends! I've been to about 15 states and four Central American countries. I lived in Costa Rica for 4 months in 2018 during a study abroad. Lastly, Spanish is my second language and I love to use it when I can. 

 

Everyone in the district has been very welcoming, and I know I'm in a great place to start this next chapter in life. Looking forward to a great year in fifth grade!
